New Delhi, July 22 -- India's installed wind power capacity has reached **57,443 MW**, while wind energy projects generated **106 billion units (BU)** of electricity during FY 2025-26, reflecting steady growth in the country's renewable energy sector, the Lok Sabha was informed on Thursday.

In a written reply, Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy **Shripad Yesso Naik** said wind power generation has registered consistent growth over the past three financial years. Citing the **Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) Report 2026**, he said India ranked **fourth globally** in cumulative wind energy installations as of December 31, 2025.
