Jammu, Aug. 4 -- It is disturbing that many soldiers on duty have lost their lives due to accidental discharge of their weapons, as one comes across a number of news reports regarding such tragedies after searching the topic on the internet. In this context, one more death of an Army soldier in the Akhnoor sector due to accidental fire while he was on operational duty at the forward Jogwan area of Khour on Sunday has once again highlighted the need for preventing such avoidable deaths. India cannot afford to lose its valiant soldiers in such incidents.
