JAMMU, Sept. 3 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Jammu, has filed a chargesheet against two accused, including a former Tehsildar, in a case involving alleged cheating, forgery and manipulation of revenue records.
The chargesheet was filed before the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (Anti-Corruption Court), Udhampur, against Allah Din, a resident of Battal Balian, Udhampur, and Joginder Kumar Sawhney, the then Tehsildar, Udhampur, who has since died.
The case stems from FIR No. 66/2022 registered on a complaint by Shamas Din of Battal, who alleged that Allah Din fraudulently changed his father's name in revenue records and subsequently claimed ancestral property belonging to the complainant.
