India, Nov. 1 -- Eminent Dogri and Hindi litterateur, Sahitya Akademi Fellow and Bollywood personality Ved Rahi passed away at his residence in Maharashtra's Thane district on Sunday morning. He was 93.

His last rites will be performed at the Kopari cremation ground in Thane later this afternoon.

He is survived by his two daughters, Geetanjali and Poonam, and their families.

Rahi's demise marks the loss of a distinguished literary personality who made significant contributions to Dogri and Hindi literature.
