Emergency Was One of Gravest Assaults On Constitution: LG On Samvidhan Hatya Diwas
JAMMU, June 25 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that the Emergency imposed on June 25, 1975, was one of the gravest assaults on the Constitution and democratic ethos of the Republic, while paying tribute to those who resisted authoritarian rule during that period.
In a post on X on the occasion of Samvidhan Hatya Diwas, as per news agency JKNS, LG Sinha remembered the sacrifices of the Satyagrahis who stood against the Emergency and played a crucial role in restoring democratic values in the country.
