Srinagar, Aug. 18 -- The Government is set to establish dedicated emergency and accident hospitals in Uri and Poonch, with the facilities expected to strengthen healthcare access for residents living in the border areas along the Line of Control (LoC).
The proposed hospitals are expected to cater to residents of LoC villages, where access to immediate medical treatment remains a challenge, particularly during shelling and other emergencies.
During his Independence Day speech at Baramulla, Cabinet Minister Javed Ahmad Dar said, "The dedicated hospitals are part of the government's broader focus on strengthening healthcare infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir."
