JAMMU, April 15 -- The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has revised the tax structure on the sale of diesel oil across the Union Territory, according to an official notification.

As per the Finance Department order, tax on diesel will now be levied at 16 percent minus Rs.2.50 per litre, along with an additional cess of Rs.1.00 per litre.

The revised tax rates have come into effect from April 11, 2026.
