India, March 24 -- The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has revealed that cybercrime cases in Jammu & Kashmir have witnessed a steady increase over the past three years, with 185 cases reported in 2023.

According to official data presented in the Lok Sabha, J&K recorded 154 cybercrime cases in 2021, which rose to 173 in 2022 and further to 185 in 2023, indicating a gradual upward trend in such offences.

The data, compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), highlights the growing challenge of cyber-related crimes across the Union Territory, amid increasing digital penetration and online activity.
