Communist Party of China has the largest Party membership after BJP of India

Communist Party of China has now 101.28 million members, the second highest party membership in the world after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of India which claims to have 180 million members. Both the countries have around 1.45 billion population. While the BJP's membership increased at a steep rate in the last ten years, the CPC maintained a moderate growth due to its strict procedures.

Latest reports indicate that membership wise, the Congress Party of India is in the third position with around 50 million members while the Democratic Party of USA has 47 million members. The Republican Party is in the fifth position with 3...
