Srinagar, April 26 -- The Economic Offences Wing has filed a chargesheet in a major recruitment fraud in the Power Development Department, accusing multiple individuals of securing government jobs through forged documents.

The chargesheet in FIR No. 46/2023 was submitted before the Anti-Corruption Court, Baramulla, against Nasir Ahmad Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Malik and a deceased former Executive Engineer of KPDCL.

The case originated from a complaint alleging fraudulent appointments. Investigations revealed that Nasir Ahmad Mir obtained employment using a fake appointment order under SRO-43 of 1994, which was not found in official records.
