New Delhi, May 11 -- The Centre has notified the implementation of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 (VB-G RAM G), which will be rolled out nationwide from July 1, the Rural Development Ministry said.

The Act guarantees 125 days of wage employment annually and aims to strengthen rural livelihoods, with a provision of Rs.95,692 crore allocated in the current financial year for its implementation.

Replacing the 20-year-old Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, the new law increases the statutory employment guarantee from 100 to 125 days, targeting enhanced income security and accelerated rural development.
