Jammu Tawi, April 23 -- The ground exercise for the upcoming Census 2027 in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has finally been set into motion as the government has appointed Enumerators and Supervisors under the provisions of the Census Act, 1948.

The government has appointed one thousand two hundred and sixty two (1262) employees as Enumerators and Supervisors for the Census 2027 in its first order and these will carry out their duties under the supervision of the designated officers.
