Jammu, Sept. 9 -- No adjournment after obituary references, 4 days for Govt Business
Jammu Tawi, Sep 08: The upcoming 10-day autumn session of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly will be spread over seven sittings, the provisional calendar issued by the Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday revealed.
According to the calendar released by the Assembly secretariat, September 21 has been earmarked for obituary references and Government business.
The Assembly Secretariat's decision to conduct Government business on the same day that obituary references are read out for former legislators who passed away since the last session marks a departure from past practice. Traditionally, the House was adjourned for the day after obituary references.
