Jammu Tawi, Aug. 7 -- The Government of India (GoI) has informed the Lok Sabha that 43,907 houses have been completed and delivered in Jammu & Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U), while 42,584 houses have been sanctioned under PMAY-U 2.0.
Replying to a question raised by MP K. Gopinath, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal said PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0 are being implemented to provide all-weather pucca houses with basic civic amenities to eligible urban beneficiaries across the country.
The minister informed the House that in Jammu & Kashmir, 42,584 houses have been sanctioned under PMAY-U 2.0, while 3,398 houses have been grounded. A total of 43,907 houses have been completed and delivered, with t...
