Srinagar, April 21 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday arrested 11 alleged drug peddlers from different parts of the valley and recovered over seven kilograms of contraband, officials said.

Continuing its sustained crackdown on drug trafficking under the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, police have intensified its enforcement drive, arresting 11 drug peddlers and seizing substantial contraband and cash in separate operations across the valley, a police spokesperson said.

The officer said that in Anantnag, police arrested three alleged drug peddlers in two separate operations.

They recovered over 1.3 kgs of charas powder, he said.
