Nigeria, Feb. 25 -- The meeting, held behind closed doors on Tuesday evening, centred on accelerating the final certification process required to upgrade the Maiduguri airport for international flight operations.

Discussions reportedly focused on addressing technical bottlenecks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards necessary to obtain the aerodrome license.

Sources familiar with the deliberations disclosed that Governor Zulum also advocated for the establishment of a regional NCAA office in Maiduguri.
