Nigeria, March 5 -- The governor's commendation was conveyed in a statement released on Thursday in Kano by his spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.

The planned project involves the construction of a 132-kilometre road designed as a three-lane concrete carriageway. It will also feature solar-powered street lighting and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems to enhance safety and monitoring along the route.

Yusuf said the project is expected to significantly stimulate economic activities by promoting trade, boosting agricultural production, encouraging industrial growth and generating employment opportunities for residents.
