Nigeria, Sept. 10 -- The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has alleged that he was forced to leave the Labour Party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Obi made the allegation during an interview on Arise NEWS, monitored by The News Chronicle, on Thursday.

According to the former Labour Party presidential candidate, INEC had told him that his faction of the party would not be recognised as long as he remained a member.
