UEFA, AFC and CONCACAF Turn Up Pressure on Infantino Over FIFA Plan
Nigeria, Aug. 11 -- FIFA president Gianni Infantino is facing mounting opposition after UEFA, the Asian Football Confederation and CONCACAF jointly accused him of breaking trust over plans involving the commercial rights to the World Cup.
The three confederations criticised the FIFA president's handling of the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise, which could allow private investors to acquire interests in major FIFA competitions. They said the process raised serious concerns about transparency, governance and consultation.
