Nigeria, Oct. 24 -- A video circulating on Saturday showed the vehicle engulfed in flames after the incident, which reportedly occurred on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Amaezekwe community, Ezza South Local Government Area of the state.

The attack reportedly triggered an exchange of gunfire between the suspected thugs and security operatives attached to the candidate.

Two of the suspected attackers were reportedly killed, while 10 others sustained serious injuries during the confrontation.

Reports gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon as Nwali and his team were returning from the community.

Nwali later confirmed the incident in a social media post, stating that his vehicle was set ablaze during the attack.
