Nigeria, July 2 -- The latest incident occurred barely two weeks after gunmen attacked the institute, killing three security operatives.

The gunmen reportedly targeted the residences of the Acting Director of Studies, Barrister Nima Salman-Mann, and a Directing Staff member, Professor Haruna Dabin.

Confirming the incident in a statement, the Head of Public Affairs at NIPSS, Dr Osime Samuel, said security personnel engaged the assailants in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to flee.
