Nigeria, July 3 -- Chukwudi, who works as the security guard at No. 6 Nick Ejeh Close in Karu, accused the tenant, Jerry Adatiure, of repeatedly threatening his life and violating the property's security regulations.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the allegations when the matter came up on Friday.

Testifying before the court, Chukwudi said that residents of the property had been directed by management to return home no later than 11:30 p.m. due to the worsening security situation in the area.

According to him, Adatiure consistently ignored the directive, often leaving the house around 5 p.m. and returning in the early hours of the morning.
