Nigeria, Feb. 27 -- Figures from a recent UEFA report show that United agreed a £10 million compensation package to bring Amorim in from Sporting CP in November 2024.

Following his dismissal, the club could pay as much as £15.9 million to settle the coach's and five members of his backroom staff's contracts, depending on future employment clauses.



The News Chronicle gathered that United still had £6.3 million outstanding to Sporting at the time of the decision, adding to the mounting cost of managerial turnover at Old Trafford.
