Nigeria, March 4 -- The protesters, led by the Chairman of the Hadejia Ina Mafita Initiative, Dr. Hussaini Shehu, said the demonstration was organised to express their dissatisfaction over what they described as an alleged plan to release the suspect.

The protesters, including lawyers, women's groups, and civil society organisations, marched to the palace of the Emir of Hadejia, where they submitted a formal petition.

Dr. Shehu stated that the group would remain resolute in ensuring that the alleged offender is brought to justice, stressing that no individual is above the law.
