Nigeria, May 1 -- A young man identified as Akidi was allegedly killed last night on the 30th of April in Mgbakwu in Awka North Council Area of Anambra State by security team comprising State Anti-Touting Squad, SASA and Udogachi Vigilante operatives.
Sources say the raid by the security operatives is part of operations to rid the community of hard drugs, which has become a major challenge in the community.
Today, angry youths took to the streets to protest the killing, blocking the only major entrance to the community and shutting down economic activities.
