Nigeria, July 17 -- The command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, confirmed the arrest on Friday in Katsina.

According to him, the suspect, popularly known as "Dunbuje," was apprehended by operatives attached to the Central Police Station, Funtua, on July 15 at about 5 p.m. following credible intelligence.

Sadiq-Aliyu said police operatives tracked the suspect before arresting him, adding that a search conducted after his arrest led to the recovery of 500 tablets of the illicit drug, D5.

He said preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly specialised in supplying the drugs to suspected armed bandits and other criminal elements operating in Funtua and surrounding communities, thereby facilitating ...
