Nigeria, May 17 -- Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2026 Osun governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji, has promised to reinstate more than 2,000 teachers and health workers disengaged by the state government if elected governor.

Oyebamiji made the commitment in a statement released in Lagos on Sunday after holding talks with over 1,500 teachers and 515 health personnel who claimed they were removed from service in 2022.

He condemned the disengagement of the workers, describing the action as unfair and unfortunate, noting that many of them had devoted years of service to the state before allegedly losing their jobs without salaries, arrears, or any form of job protection.
