Nigeria, Oct. 13 -- Veteran Nigerian comedian and actor Okey Bakassi has dismissed claims circulating on social media that his marriage has collapsed, describing the reports as false and disrespectful to his family.

The entertainer, whose real name is Okechukwu Onyegbule, addressed the speculation in a post on X, where he criticised the spread of fabricated stories for online attention and engagement.

The rumours gained traction after a manipulated video emerged online, falsely suggesting that his wife had requested a divorce following 15 years of receiving support from him and caring for their children.
