Nigeria, Aug. 19 -- The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers over alleged carjacking and unlawful possession of firearms.

The suspects, Adeyinka Onakomaya, 46, and Olayiwola Kehinde, 48, were arrested following sustained investigations into a carjacking incident in the state.

The command's spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abeokuta.

Babaseyi said operatives of the command's Anti-Robbery Team began tracking the suspects after recovering a stolen red Toyota Matrix in April.
