Nigeria, Sept. 13 -- Operatives of the Mowe Division of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a suspected vehicle theft kingpin, 28 year old Mosuru Issa, and successfully recovered a stolen wine coloured Toyota Camry during a routine stop and search operation along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

The incident occurred on September 11, 2026, at about 0730 hours, when police officers conducting a security check along the Mowe axis flagged down the oncoming vehicle. Upon noticing the police presence, the three occupants abruptly abandoned the car and fled in various directions. Officers immediately gave chase, apprehending Issa, a resident of Osungboye Street in Agege, Lagos State, while securing the abandoned vehicle.
