Nigeria, April 23 -- Obi, now a leading figure within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, was received at the Government House before heading into a closed-door meeting with the governor at the Presidential Lounge.

The News Chronicle gathered that the discussions, still ongoing at the time of filing, are expected to centre on evolving political alignments and early maneuvering ahead of future elections.

Both leaders are anticipated to address the press after the session.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of Governor Mohammed's fluid political positioning.
