Nigeria, Aug. 5 -- Nigerians spent about N1.41 trillion on beer, malt and spirits in the first half of 2026, as the country's major brewers recorded strong sales despite persistent economic pressures.

The total revenue from the operations of Nigerian Breweries, International Breweries and Guinness Nigeria is an indication of the vitality of the formal beverage market as manufacturers report higher prices and varieties of their products.

The News Chronicle reports that the companies recorded N1.41 trillion in revenue in the first half of 2022. Nigerian Breweries had the largest share of the total revenue with N803.7 billion followed by International Breweries and Guinness Nigeria with N342.1 billion and N265 billion respectively.
