Nigeria, March 19 -- The Kano Strategic Command confirmed the development in a statement released on Thursday by its Public Relations Officer, Sadiq Muhammad-Maigatari.

According to the State Commander, Mr Dahiru Yahaya-Lawal, the suspect, Sani Musa, 34, a native of Bebeji Local Government Area, was apprehended on March 10 during an intelligence-driven operation.

He revealed that officers recovered 510 compressed blocks of cannabis sativa from the suspect during the raid.

Yahaya-Lawal further disclosed that the suspect admitted the drugs were handed over to him by a notorious dealer known as "Alaramma" for storage in his residence.
