Nigeria, June 4 -- Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recovered rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) bombs and ammunition during a fighting patrol and exploitation operation across several communities in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources disclosed that the operation was launched on Tuesday following intelligence reports of a clash between rival Boko Haram factions and fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in parts of the area.

According to the sources, the troops conducted a coordinated sweep through Alagarno, Baale, Maisaimari, Yadimari and Shiwari communities to exploit intelligence and prevent terrorist elements from regrouping or moving freely within the axis.
