Nigeria, April 26 -- Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara has called for a coordinated effort among political leaders and stakeholders to confront the lingering banditry plaguing the state.
Speaking on Saturday at a one-day APC stakeholders' meeting held at the Government House in Gusau, ahead of the party's congresses slated to commence on April 28, Lawal explained that his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) was driven by the need to work closely with former governors and the Federal Government to restore peace and stability.
The governor stressed the importance of unity among key political actors, noting that a divided front would undermine efforts to tackle insecurity effectively.
