Nigeria, July 30 -- Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has received a delegation from the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) and Mota-Engil Nigeria ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kano Light Rail Project.

The governor's spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday.

According to the statement, the delegation, led by Dr Armstrong Takang of MOFI and the Chairman of Mota-Engil Nigeria, Mr Kola Karim, met with the governor in Abuja to review preparations for the commencement of the project.

The delegation briefed Yusuf on the level of readiness for the groundbreaking ceremony and the next phase of implementation.
