Nigeria, June 7 -- The Kano State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) has rolled out an extensive oversight initiative aimed at raising standards across secondary healthcare facilities, inaugurating two special management teams tasked with monitoring and evaluating hospital operations throughout the state.

According to a statement released on Saturday by the board's spokesperson, Samira Sulaiman, the move is designed to deepen accountability, improve healthcare outcomes, and ensure strict compliance with professional medical practices.

The board explained that the exercise will also create an avenue for direct interaction with healthcare personnel, enabling authorities to identify operational bottlenecks and implement timely solutions.
