Nigeria, July 24 -- The Kaduna Ministry of Health on Friday reaffirmed its commitment to reducing maternal and newborn deaths through continuous capacity building for health care professionals.

This is made known on Friday in Kaduna by the Commissioner for Health, Umma Ahmad, while speaking at the opening of a Medical Simulation and Debrief Training Course for Senior Clinicians.

Ahmad described the programme as a strategic intervention aimed at strengthening the competence, confidence and teamwork of frontline health workers in managing maternal and neonatal emergencies.
