Nigeria, Nov. 5 -- Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has declared Friday, November 6, 2026, a work-free day ahead of President Bola Tinubu's visit to the state.

The governor said the decision was to enable residents, particularly civil servants, to participate in the reception organised in honour of the president.

Eno announced the declaration after inspecting several projects scheduled for commissioning during Tinubu's visit, describing the presidential trip as timely and significant to the state's development.

The projects expected to be commissioned include the International Terminal Building at Victor Attah International Airport, Aviation Village, Airport Hospital, ARISE Palm Resort, the 14.5-kilometre Nsit Atai-Okobo Road...
