Nigeria, Oct. 12 -- Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has climbed to the status of the world's second richest individual as his net worth grows to $372 billion after gaining $122 billion in 2026.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bezos' wealth grew by 48.7 percent in the past year on the back of a $7.31 billion jump in the latest valuation.

The 62 year old billionaire is now placed second after Elon Musk who is estimated to be worth $1.02 trillion, but edges out Alphabet co founder Larry Page.
