Nigeria, Sept. 29 -- The Israeli military on Tuesday said Israeli settlers rioted overnight in the occupied West Bank village of Jalud, setting fire to Palestinian homes, vehicles and other property.

The military said more than 100 settlers also prevented a Palestinian family displaced by earlier settler violence from returning to its home.

According to a military statement, the violence erupted as Israeli security forces attempted to facilitate the return of the Tubasi family to its home.

A social media notice circulated ahead of the operation, calling on settlers to gather in Jalud and oppose the family's return.
