Nigeria, Sept. 12 -- The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, has met with Google's Global Lead for Civic Responsibility, David J. Lopez, in Ottawa, Canada.



The meeting was held on Friday, September 11, on the sidelines of the Global Conference on Responsible AI and Elections.



The conference brought together election management bodies, technology experts and other stakeholders to examine the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in electoral processes.



Amupitan was accompanied by INEC's Director of Information and Communication Technology, Dr Lawrence Bayode.
