Nigeria, Nov. 2 -- A Professor of Business Law and Ethics at James Hope University, Ehi Esoimeme, has called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to combat the spread of counterfeit medicines in Nigeria.

Esoimeme made the call on Saturday during the investiture of Rotarian Osita Chito as the 11th President of the Rotary Club of Abijo, Ibeju-Lekki, alongside the club's Board of Directors in Lagos.

He described substandard and falsified medicines as a major public health challenge affecting both developed and developing countries, noting that the menace placed significant pressure on national medicines regulatory authorities.
