Nigeria, April 8 -- Princess Rafatu Awofisayo, the last living child of Ooni Ademiluyi Ajagun, the 48th Ooni of Ife, has gracefully crossed the threshold of life at the age of 102, closing a chapter that has spanned over a century of royal history.

Her passing marks the sunset of a remarkable lineage, leaving a legacy as deep-rooted as the ancient trees of Ile-Ife.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, showered glowing tributes on the late princess, describing her departure as "the end of a remarkable era."
