Nigeria, June 30 -- The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Chief Ikeuwa Omebe, announced the changes while briefing journalists on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting held on Monday in Abakaliki.

According to Omebe, Prof. Omari Omaka and Hon. Sylvester Nwite have been appointed as commissioners to head the Ministries of Environment and Tertiary Education, respectively.

He explained that the reshuffle also saw several commissioners reassigned to new portfolios.

Mr. Chidiebere Onyia was moved from the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development to the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, while Dr. Ngozi Obichukwu was redeployed from the Ministry of Aviation to the Ministry of Special Projects.
