Nigeria, April 2 -- The move was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Command's Public Relations Officer, Mr Ayoola Shola.
Shola explained that the State Commandant, Mr Bala Bodinga, approved the large-scale deployment as part of proactive measures to forestall any breakdown of law and order during the festive period.
Bodinga assured residents of heightened security visibility at churches, recreational centres, motor parks, shopping malls, and other sensitive areas to discourage criminal activities.
He further noted that surveillance and routine patrols had been stepped up across both urban and rural communities, with specialised tactical units and rapid response teams positioned to swiftly tackle any security threats.
