Nigeria, Sept. 23 -- Domestic investors maintained their dominance on the Nigerian Exchange, accounting for 89.8 per cent of a total of N13.2 trillion transactions between January and August 2026.

Nigerian Exchange Limited statistics showed that local investors transacted about N11.89 trillion while foreigners shared N1.35 trillion or 10.23 per cent of the total value of transactions.

The News Chronicle however reports that domestic investors still accounted for about 95 per cent of all NGX transactions in August despite a huge slide in overall transactions for the month.
