Nigeria, July 14 -- The decoration was done during a courtesy visit by the NTDA boss to Alake's office in Abuja.

Speaking after the decoration, Alake said discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between the solid minerals and tourism sectors.

He said both parties are working on the development of a Geo-tourism Plan aimed at showcasing Nigeria's rich mineral assets.

According to him, the plan is designed to create new opportunities for investment, tourism and sustainable economic growth.

"There is enormous potential at the intersection of mining and tourism, and we are committed to unlocking it for the benefit of our country," Alake stated.
