Nigeria, Aug. 12 -- Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump and the international community to pay close attention to the forthcoming Osun governorship election.

Davido made the appeal in a post on his Instagram Story, expressing concern over the possibility of violence, intimidation and disruption of the electoral process in the state.

The singer urged Trump and the international community to monitor developments surrounding the election and encourage relevant authorities to protect voters and safeguard the integrity of the poll.
