Nigeria, Aug. 7 -- The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has maintained its position as Europe's largest supplier of imported jet fuel for the second consecutive month, overtaking the United States in the process.

Data put together by commodities data and analytics company Kpler revealed that Nigerian refineries supplied more than 400,000 tonnes of jet fuel to Europe in July, representing about 20 per cent of total jet fuel imports into the EU.

The News Chronicle reports that Nigeria's share came on the back of a record 466,000 tonnes of jet fuel sent to Europe in June, making it the biggest supplier of the aircraft fuel to the continent for the first time overtaking the US.
